Hey Went to get a wof last week for my libero gt at this garage in hamilton and they failed me for my battery in boot .apparantly i need a cert for it . is this true iv had people tell me it not . I had it all secured properly . so i had to put battery back under bonnet and put intake back to stock. if anyone could calrify this for me would be greatly appreciated

If it's correctly secured, and externally vented(important if you're using a conventional battery) then it should be fine.
Otherwise, go back there and get them to show you in print where it says otherwise.

what wpuld be the best way to vent it and does it have to vent outside the car?

Well if it ducted to the inside there would be very little point in the exercise
A Sealed battery box with some sort of ducting pipe to one of the drain bungs/vents is the way to go.

While i was gettin my exhaust system certified. Wayne Martin in Ch-Ch said i need to get my battery certed for being in boot aftermarket buckets need to be certed and aftermarket intercooler too its getting pretty crazy

The rules around battery in boot conversions are very lenient, the only rule really is as long as it isn't going to move around then it is - for WOFs purposes - fine. Ideally it should be first a sealed battery and placed in a box or at least have the terminals covered, with a fuse and a kill switch inline.
Tell the guy that he needs to have a reread of the manual, and that many modern cars come with the battery in the boot anyway so it isn't just a 'boyracer' thing to ping you on. Or go somewhere else for your next WOF.

I'd just say to have it in a box cause it looks super rangi if you don't hahaha - especially in a wagon!
Box = $50
Bolt it through that to the boot floor

mine in boot with no inline fuse or vented anything and cert guy didnt say anything or put it on the cert plate.
